African black soap, also known as Alata Samina in Ghana, is a traditional black soap made with plant ash from ingredients including cocoa pods and plantain skins. Our version continues the same craft with plantain, cocoa, roasted palm leaves, coconut oil and unrefined shea butter, just as women in Ghanaian villages have made it for generations.
Black soap provides a gentle yet powerful cleanse that removes dirt and excess sebum without leaving the skin feeling tight. Many people value it when they want to cleanse deeply while using a soap that feels balanced on the face, body and scalp. It can feel slightly rough at first, but it softens quickly in your hands and creates a gentle lather.
Like shea butter, it also has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties. That is why it is so often mentioned when people talk about a more even skin tone, calmer skin and fewer breakouts.
How to use it
Break off a small piece, wet your hands and rub it into a gentle lather. Massage onto the face, body or scalp and rinse thoroughly. Keep it dry between uses, preferably on a draining soap dish, so it lasts longer.
A tip
Black soap is powerful. If you begin too intensely, your skin may react with an initial cleansing period. Start a few times per week, observe how your skin responds and increase gradually.

Massage gently for 30 seconds, avoid the eyes and rinse with lukewarm water.On the scalp

05 How should I store it?

El único jabón que me atrevo a utilizar tanto en la cara como en el abdomen sin tener miedo de resecar la propia protección del cuerpo. ¡Junto con la manteca de karité, mi baño queda perfecto! ¡Producto realmente increíble! Creo que obtienes un tono de piel uniforme y agradable cuando te lavas la cara y te sientes tan fresca. He intentado lavarme el cabello con él, desafortunadamente mi cabello se pone demasiado grasoso al día siguiente, pero el primer día obtienes un volumen real y un cabello sedoso.

Úselo como champú, limpiador facial y mejor para quitar el rímel. También funciona bien para quitar fácilmente la pintura de lápiz cuando los niños han pintado sus propios tatuajes. Llevo casi un año usando uno de 200gr. Tomé algunos lavados para que mi cabello se acostumbrara, pero mi cabello liso adquiere mucho más volumen con jabón negro.

Probé Black Soap por primera vez esta mañana cuando me limpié la cara como parte de mi rutina de cuidado de la piel. Me llamó la atención que sólo hacía falta un poquito de jabón en la mano para que con las manos humedecidas pudiera frotarme las manos con espuma y jabón y luego lavarme la cara con él. Después, me unté la cara con manteca de karité de aquí. También solo requirió una pequeña cantidad que dejé que se derritiera entre mis manos y luego me unté la cara. Ambos productos muy buenos.

Cuando a mi bebé de 2 meses le salieron hongos en la ingle, tanto es así que el médico me recomendó una pomada contra el pie de atleta. Compré el ungüento, llegué a casa, iba a aplicarlo pero tenía miedo. En su lugar optó por lavarlo con jabón negro y untarlo con manteca de karité. Pasaron 3 días y todo desapareció.
